If the door doesn't get you then the kerb will

door=zone cycle lane - with a step
Pete Owens

This month's facility was recommended to us by solictiors Eaville, B'Stard & Le Pole who specialise in no-win-no-fee personal injury claims for cyclists who have suffered an accident that wasn’t their fault, for example by riding into a car door.

They were particularly impressed by this stretch of Manchester's flagship Wilmslow Road Cycleway. The lane, which channels cyclists into the dooring zone beside a marked parking bay, is further enhanced by the low kerb subtly disguised as a white line. Even cyclists instinctively swerving to avoid an open door may find themselves entitled to a large payout.
