Shared Use with Trees

The designers of this shared use path on Ringwood Road in Poole put a great deal of thought into avoiding conflict between the different users (in this case cyclists and large trees). The cycle side of the path is cambered at 30°, causing cyclists to swerve away from the trees. Also, note how the trees are carefully tilted to give more clearance at handlebar height.
