The Other Door Zone Scott Martin A common cause of cycle crashes is for a driver to open their door into the path of a cyclist riding too close to the right hand side of a parked car. Waltham Forest Council have come up with a novel way of preventing this type of crash by placing a cycle path close to the opposite side of the car, well away from the driver's door.
