arrow directs cyclists to ride into a black bollard
Dave Stevens

Bollards present a common hazard on cycle paths. Black ones are particularly dangerous to cyclists riding at night with low-power lights. We have seen a number of innovative solutions to the problem in the UK, but we are particularly impessed by this contenental design.

The hazard is highlighted by a large and highly visibile arrow pointing at it. This makes the bollard difficult to miss, even in the poorest visibilty conditions.
