Ensuring Cycle Paths are Accessible

central reservation designated as a cycle path
Adam Greenland

This cycle facility on Blackfriars Road forming part for National Cycle Network Route 4 was not attracting as much usage as was initially expected, despite the two large signs erected right in the centre of the path to highlight the fact that the central reservation of this six lane dual carriageway has been converted to a high-quality facility. In order to attract more cyclists to enjoy the nearly 200 metres of traffic free cycling, toucan crossings have now been provided at either end.
