Cycle Path Designed by Psychopath

Looks harmless enough

At first glance this cycle path on Faraday Street, seen from a drivers perspective, appears to be fairly innocuous (so long as you aren't a pedestrian). However, as can be seen from the photo below, this is in fact a view of the END of the path. Carefully hidden on the inside of the curve the path merges with the carriageway, pushing cyclists into the path of motor vehicles without any advanced warning to drivers. To make matters this happens just at the point the road narrows so drivers can't even swerve to avoid cyclists at the last minute if there is oncoming traffic.

Cyclists are strongly advised not to use this facility.
